Happy New Year!
BNBC Inc, also known as the "Black N Brown Network", was incorporated in 2022 as a Nonprofit Organization in MA. BNBC Inc is the first 100% minority owned & operated Nonprofit Organization in the history of Brookline, MA.
Founded by low-income Black N Brown residents in Brookline, due to the lack of proper representation on matters & affairs concerning the Black N Brown community.
Black N’ Brown Club is a well-known entity in Boston and Brookline, established in 2022 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit by long-time residents. We have already been delivering on our mission to advance racial and economic equity for Black and Brown residents. For example, outreach and engagement for our job skills training programs have been ongoing for over 6 months.
Additionally, our Cash Assistance Program (CAP) in which we went door to door in marginalized communities and gave them $500 gift cards to begin to offset the impacts of the Covid-19 Pandemic and rising inflation, was a fantastic opportunity for our BNBC team to hear first hand from our target demographic on what they feel would best aid them in socioeconomic mobility, community building, and increasing equity. Feedback showed overwhelming support for every effort (Job Skills Training, Affordable Child Care, Affordable Housing, CAP, Summer Programs, etc.) BNBC is undertaking. The community’s voice is valued and respected at BNBC. It has informed many of our efforts including the Affordable Child Care plan. The community has shown consistent and enthusiastic support for this proposal and other initiatives.
