BNBC Directors visited the Statehouse on January 26th, 2023 in a historic meeting with State Representative Tommy Vitolo. This meeting marked the most Black and Brown Brookline community leaders that have met with Tommy at the Statehouse. We discussed priorities (housing, affordable childcare, economic development and job skills training) to address economic equity for low income, Black and Brown Brookline residents. BNBC is the only low income, minority owned nonprofit with 100% Black N Brown staff, in Brookline. And the only to have completed a comprehensive study of the specific needs of low income residents.
BNBC staff went door to door to 100+ low income Black N Brown families with direct assistance. We delivered $500 gift cards to offset impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic (such as rising inflation, increased rent and utility prices) in Brookline, Massachusetts.
Black N Brown Aviation Training Program Student takes her first flight as pilot in command. With the skills taught by elite Black and Brown instructors, she showcased her skills at Beverly Flight Center in Danvers, MA. A historic moment in the fight for racial and economic equity in the aviation industry.

BNB ATP (Black N Brown Aviation Training Program) is the first aviation program in North America to specifically train Black and Brown Youth. On this historic day, 5 black and brown youths took their first flight as pilot in command after being taught by elite Black pilot instructors.
